NEW MEDIA LOGO WON DESIGN AWARD

Communication Faculty Visual Communication Design Department Research Asistant Orkun Destici won the “Successful Logo Design” award in Graphic Design Exhibition and Competition organized by Graphic Designers Association with the New Media logo he designed for our department.

In the logo the letters N and M used implying the greater-than(>) and smaller-than(<) signs in order to remind the code alphabet. The color magenta is choosen to emphasize the color scheme of HTML code screen and the Asterix (*) in the logo is a simple reference to the footnote usage in tradition media within the new media technologies.

We are proudly congratulate Res. Asst. Orkun Destici for creating such a meaningful and authentic logo design.
