Dear Students and Faculty Members,
Since we are continuing our spring semester online due to abnormal ongoing situations, the usage of open educational sources for the educational reasons is highly recommended.
Open Educational Resources
OER are teaching, learning, and research resources that reside in the public domain or have been released under an intellectual property license that permits their free use and re-purposing by others. Open educational resources include full courses, course materials, modules, textbooks, streaming videos, tests, software, and any other tools, materials, or techniques used to support access to knowledge.
To put it another way; OER includes; the materials in digital or any other medium, which resides in the public domain or have been released under an open license and the usage of these resources for other purposes are permitted .
In below, you may find a collection of resources for both OER which includes free to use textbooks, animations, presentations etc. and online open course websites and directories. In directories such as Directory of Open Access Books, Merlot, or Mason OER Metafinder they gather data from many databases. It’s recommended for you to use such directories to search for items you wish to use.
